Qasimha (قسمها) is a free service for sharing expenses: an app for iPhone and Android, and a mini app in Super Qi. It is run by Hayder Alghurabi (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data we collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. Questions: support@qasimha.app.
What we collect
Your account
- Your phone number, if you use the app for iPhone and Android. You sign in with a one-time code sent to it, so the number is verified.
- Your display name, an optional profile photo and your preferred language.
- If you use Qasimha in Super Qi: your Super Qi customer identifier and the name Super Qi provides.
- Your sign-in sessions, so you stay signed in.
What you create
- Groups, and the people you add to them: the names you type and, if you choose, their phone numbers. A number lets that person be connected automatically when they sign up with it. Other people only ever see its last four digits.
- Expenses: the description, amount, category, date, note, who paid and how it is split. Also recurring expenses, the payments you record, comments and receipt photos.
- The activity history of the groups you share.
Who can see it
- Members of a group see that group’s members (their names and photos), its expenses, payments, comments and receipts.
- Friends see the balances they share with you.
- Nothing is public.
Contacts (in the app only, optional)
If you allow access to your contacts (your phone asks you first), the app sends the phone numbers in your contacts to our server only to check which of your contacts use Qasimha. Only Iraqi mobile numbers are sent. They are compared in memory and are not stored or logged. Everything else works without this permission.
Camera and photos
The camera is used on your device to scan QR codes and to take receipt and profile photos, and your photo library to choose them. A photo is uploaded only when you attach it.
Technical data
- Our server logs contain IP addresses and request details. We keep them for security, to prevent abuse and to limit how many requests can be made.
- We record the days on which an account was active, to count active users.
There is no advertising and there are no advertising identifiers. We don’t track you across apps or websites, and we don’t use third-party analytics. We don’t sell or rent personal data.
Service providers
- OTPIQ (otpiq.com) delivers the one-time codes by WhatsApp, SMS or Telegram. It receives your phone number and the code.
- Super Qi (Qi Card), for signing in to the mini app and connecting your accounts.
- Our hosting provider stores the data.
Data is sent over HTTPS.
How long we keep data, and deleting your account
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time: in the app (Account → Delete account), in Qasimha in Super Qi (Account → Delete account), or by emailing us. See Delete your account.
When you delete your account:
- Your name, photo, phone number, Super Qi connection, language, sessions and friend link are removed at once.
- Shared expenses, payments, comments and receipts stay in the groups for the other members, because they are their records too. You are shown as “Deleted user”.
- A group, or the expenses between you and one friend, is deleted if no other active person uses it.
- Signing in again with the same number creates a new, empty account.
One-time code records are deleted after a day. Database backups are kept for a limited time and then overwritten.
Children
Qasimha is not directed to children under 13.
Your rights
You can see and correct your data in the app, delete your account, and email us at support@qasimha.app with any question or request.
Changes
When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
