Common questions

I didn’t get the code

It can take a minute to arrive.

  • Check WhatsApp and your text messages (SMS).
  • Check the number: it must be an Iraqi mobile number, like 07XX XXX XXXX.
  • When the countdown ends, tap Send a new code. Use the newest code you received.

How do I add an expense and split it?

  1. Tap + at the bottom of the screen, or Add expense in a group or with a friend.
  2. Enter the amount and what it was for.
  3. Under Paid by, choose who paid. More than one person can pay.
  4. Under Split, choose who shares it and how: equally, by exact amounts, by percentages or by shares.
  5. Tap Add expense.

How do I settle up?

When someone pays you back (or you pay them) outside Qasimha, in cash or by transfer, record it so the balances update. Qasimha doesn’t move money; it only records the payment.

  • In a group: open it, tap Settle up, choose who paid whom and the amount, then tap Record payment. Balances also shows the suggested payments.
  • With a friend: open the friend and tap Settle up. Settle all records a payment in each group you share.

How do I invite people?

Open the group and tap Invite. You can:

  • share the invite link in any chat;
  • show the QR code, to scan with a phone camera or with Scan QR in Qasimha;
  • tell them the invite code, to enter with Join with code.

To add a friend, open Friends, tap Add friend and share your link or QR code. You can also add someone by name (and phone number) before they join.

How do I connect Super Qi to the app?

One account works in both apps: connect them once, and your groups, friends and balances come together.

  1. In the app for iPhone and Android, open Account and tap Connect next to Super Qi.
  2. Tap the button to open Qasimha in Super Qi. If Super Qi is on another phone, scan the QR code with that phone.
  3. In Super Qi, check the details and type your phone number to confirm.
  4. Go back to the app. The rest happens on its own.

The link works once, for 10 minutes.

Someone added me with my number. This isn’t me.

If someone added a person to a group, or as a friend, with your phone number, you are connected to it automatically when you sign up with that number. If that person isn’t you, tap This isn’t me on the activity item, or on the banner in that group or friend’s screen.

You will no longer see that group or those expenses, and the balances don’t change. They can’t add your number there again.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, or in Qasimha in Super Qi, go to Account → Delete account. See Delete your account for what is deleted, what stays, and how to ask us by email if you can’t sign in.
